First Doctor Appointment

Olivia had her first checkup today! I was NOT thrilled about having an 8:40am appointment because as you all know, we are not morning people and this meant I had to get up extra early to get myself ready, change her diaper, and feed her. All went well until I had to put her in the carseat. Then she screamed bloody murder. I was stressing out a bit at this point. I eventually calmed her down and we were on our way..and running late. I forgot how difficult it is to get a newborn ready and out the door. Anyway, they weighed her when we got there and she is up to 7 pounds 6 ounces!!! Dr. Stephens said she looks great, he got her nasty umbilical cord off (woohoo!), and said the purplish bruise looking spot on her butt cheek was likely the beginnings of a hemangioma. So it will start to turn more red and raised, but will probably disappear after awhile. Mckayla had one of these on the top of her head and it was gone by the time she was one. So she did great at her appointment and next will be her 2 month checkup and the start of a bunch of vaccines :(

Handprint

I got the nerve yesterday to cover Olivia's hand with white craft paint and attempt a handprint. Let me tell ya, this is NOT an easy thing to do. She was good and asleep thankfully, but it is nearly impossible to not only get all her fingers spread open, but keep them that way and get her hand flat on the canvas. I tried a couple times with the result being a big white smudge so I quickly wiped the paint off and tried again...and again. So this one is by far the best I got, even though her pinkie looks broken (it was just curled in). I told Chris it kinda looks like a monkey handprint, but it's still tiny and cute :)

FINALLY CAUGHT UP!

Okay anyone about to read all my posts since Olivia was born, you have to scroll down alllll the way and hit older posts to get to the first one I did, titled "Birth Day" so don't miss it, it took me 2 days to get caught up on all this stuff and I want you to enjoy it! xoxoxoxo

First Outing

We took the girls out for Olivia's first outing yesterday! It really wasn't anything exciting, we just had errands to run and returns/exchanges to do from Christmas. At a couple of the places Chris or I would just run in and do the return while the rest waited in the car. We only actually got Olivia out at one place!

Soooo her first place to go to outside of home was...Toys R Us!! LOL pretty fitting for us :)

We survived the trip without any drama, but it was still enough to be a bit tiring! Makes you really rethink all your trips out of the house to see if they are really worth the trouble of loading everyone up!

This was Wednesday, December 29 when OSU played in the Alamo bowl. We all got in our OSU gear and me and Olivia matched in our OSU penguin shirts!!!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning and Santa came to visit!!!! Even brand new baby Olivia got some little surprises!

Mckayla was a VERY good girl this year and Santa knew it! She asked for a dollhouse and some video games and she got them!!! She had all kinds of goodies in her stocking too. She also got a ride on Barbie Jeep too!!! We love you Santa!!!

And here's pictures of her riding her jeep..these are actually from December 29, when it got a bit warmer outside :) I love her expression in this first pic because she had just pushed the gas and it started going fast!

Later on, Chris's parents and brother came over to spend Christmas Day with us. We had lots of presents to open but Mckayla took care of business!

A talking princess vanity! She was VERY excited for this one...she said "this is just like the one I saw at Toys R Us that I wanted, and now I got it!" Silly girl :)
