Phone Pics

I finally put all the pictures from my phone onto the computer so here's a bunch of random cute ones. This one a friend took at the hospital of when they were moving us from my labor room to my postpartum room. Mckayla wanted to ride with us so I got to hold both my girls!!

This one cracks me up because I was holding Olivia trying to take a quick picture to send to a friend and Mckayla insisted on being in the pic too so I held the phone up and told her to scoot over until she was in the shot too. So I'm holding Olivia in my right arm, holding up the phone and taking a picture with the left while standing, and still was able to get Mckayla in the shot too..pretty funny perspective!

Valentine's Cutie

Cousins

Tonight Mckayla and Olivia got to meet their new cousin Hadley and see Andy, Asher, and Shae! Mckayla got a little wild playing with Asher but Olivia and Hadley were pretty content just relaxin' on a blanket!! Such sweet girls! (I love Olivia's funny expression in this first pic!)

We wanted to get a good group shot of the kiddos, but they had other plans...

It was so great to see them all! All we were missing was Abbey and Madison...

Snow Ice Cream

Mckayla's first time to try snow ice cream! And she loved it of course :)

Snowpacolypse 2011

Well for once the weathermen were right, this snowstorm was a MONSTER!! I think they said 12.1 inches in OKC and Owasso got 21 inches!! Yikes! The snowdrifts are huge here though. Anyway, Mckayla has been wanting to make a snowman for at least 2 months so when we told her snow was coming, she was more than a little excited. We didn't know it was going to be so stinkin cold though! All day today she's been asking to go make a snowman and we waited for the snow to actually stop falling before Chris finally gave in and decided to take her out for minute. SO here was how Mckayla's bundling up process went: turtleneck, socks, leggings, knee-high socks, fleece pants, fleece hoodie, boots, snow overalls, coat, thick beanie that covers her ears too, two hoods pulled up, and then 2 pairs of gloves. WHEW!!! She reminded us of the kid from Christmas Story that couldn't walk or put his arms down...LOL

Day at the Park

On Saturday when the weather was summer like, we spent the day at my parents house while Brian, Lacey, Abbey, and Madison were down visiting. Mckayla was SO excited to get to go play at the playground in their neighborhood and since the snowpocalypse is coming now we knew it was our only chance to get some good outside play!

I had to teach Mckayla how to hang and swing from this thing:

She picked it up fast and loved being a monkey!

The house right behind the little playground had a ton of goats and this very friendly horse that the girls got to see up close by the fence

Mckayla said she was going to teach the horse how to do tricks :)

Beautiful Blankets

I wanted to share the beautiful handmade blankets Olivia has received. We are so blessed to have so many people that love us and our babies to spend so much time making such special blankets. This is just the ones Olivia has gotten, Mckayla received a bunch too when she was born!!! The pink afghan on the top left was made by Ann Stewart, my midwife who cared for me during both of my pregnancies and delivered Mckayla (she was unfortunately unable to make it to Olivia's delivery due to a family matter). The pink and white striped afghan in the middle was made by Sally, a nurse I work with and she made a matching hat that I forgot to get in the picture! The multicolored afghan on the right was made by my wonderful mom who always makes the most beautiful things!! The sheep quilt on the bottom left was made by Chris's grandmother and the incredible quilt on the bottom right was made by my grandmother. I don't know how she does it but she managed to make an even more amazing and gorgeous quilt than the one before!

Thank you all for such special gifts that Olivia can treasure forever!
