Lunch date with Jack

Today Mckayla and I met my friend Laryn, her husband Preston, and their baby boy Jack (who is only 4 days older than Mckayla) at Charleston's for lunch since they were in town today. Jack is soooo cute and just smiles away at everybody! Mckayla is more serious and just stared at him for the most part. He would reach for her and kick and play and she just sat there and watched every move he made!

They finally got ahold of eachother and Mckayla almost got a bite of his fingers!

Here we are with Laryn and Jack. Aren't those babies just the cutest!!!!!

They were fun to watch together and we can't wait for them to move back to Oklahoma in a couple weeks so they can get together and play all the time!!!

First Mother's Day

Here's what Daddy and Mckayla got me for Mother's day: a Precious moments figurine of a mommy and baby girl and a photo album that I saw and said I liked awhile back. I love paisley print, but Chris says it looks like a bunch of lima beans!

Before bedtime Mckayla got a little wind down time with daddy and she looked so cute hanging on to the fringe on the pillow.

Then she showed off her new trick...don't worry this isn't her falling off the chair, daddy's hanging on super tight! She will push into him with her feet until she can get herself to the side of the chair so she can flip her head back like this. This isn't something we did with her, she really does push herself over to look around upside down, kinda crazy, huh?!

Silly girl!!!!

Peek-a-boo

Mckayla's new thing lately is to play peek-a-boo with her burp cloth. We did it with her a few times and then one day she grabbed it and threw it over herself, waited for me to say "Where's Mckayla" then she'd pull it off her face! It's so cute! She throws it up on her face and then she usually sticks her arms straight out and stiffens up with excitement. I caught a little bit of it one morning in bed, but she wasn't as playful with it by the time I got the camera. It's still cute though!

Sweet potatoes

Mckayla had sweet potatoes for the first time the other day and she LOVED them! She ate the whole jar! If she keeps going like this she'll turn orange like her cousin Abbey did!

Counting Sheep

Here's my inspiration: Sweet baby Abigail
(almost 4 months old I think)

Our Sweet baby Mckayla

Pretty girl

She's got all these dresses so I figured we better wear them before she grows out of them! Plus she just looks so cute :)

A day full of fun

We started off yesterday rolling ALLLL over the living room; somehow she made it under the coffee table from starting on the quilt. She was proud of herself!

You can see here where she was on the quilt to where she ended up under the table

Then we tried sweet peas for the first time at lunch...she did decent at first but then things got messy!!!

Then later we did some hardcore jumping

And then we had a little play time on the floor and Mckayla got pretty vocal!!

It was a fun day!!!
