Playing with Peas

Mckayla didn't do so well EATING her peas so I put some on her high chair tray to let her experiment and play with them! It was so funny because she would reach one little finger toward the glob and stop before touching it over and over before finally giving it a squish!

Standing

The past few days we've been working more with Mckayla on standing (without it meaning jumping time!) She's improved a lot and she will stand like this for quite awhile now. She's such a big girl!

Here's Mckayla desperately trying to get to me, well actually to the camera. She makes some of the funniest noises now, especially when she wants something!

And she loooooves her sippy cup now. We've really just started giving it to her regularly and she's got it figured out! I put ice cold water in there so she chews on it and drinks a little, but I think she likes the cold on her gums.

She doesn't hardly ever swing anymore, but she was being fussy so I thought it might relax her a little. Obviously she is a bit big for it now as you can see! She kept sitting up and leaning forward, thankfully she was strapped in tight!

Mirror

Mckayla was cracking me up today with all her silly sounds and babbling she does, especially when she saw herself in the mirror!

SCAMMED

For those that don't know yet, we were recently scammed out of about $2,300.00 from a fraudulent certified check! We sold an old projector and it the mount/hdmi cable we had on Videogon and the guy wanted us to do a C.O.D payment with UPS which requires the buyer to pay with certified funds via cashiers check/money order to the UPS driver before UPS will relinquesh the package to him. After 3 weeks (don't know why it takes so long) UPS finally gave me the certified check which Jessi and I deposited into our MidFirst bank account. Their Fraud department contacted us this morning and told us the check is a fake as it was printed on fake versa paper and has fake routing numbers. It had also been attempted to be cashed or deposited at another institution before. I insured both packages for the amounts they were worth, however UPS says they aren't responsible for any of it so they can't do anything. I say bullsh*t but we will see. We have to file a police report whenever we get the check back from MidFirst so maybe the cops will find the guy. If any of you know of any other channels I could go through for recourse to try and get my money back then please post and let us know or call us as this is not a small amount we are talking about and we need that money. That is like 2 mortgage payments! Needless to say, it has NOT been a good week. FYI for all you, DO NOT EVER use a C.O.D with UPS.

Lounging

Mckayla was watching Baby Einstein in our room and she stayed laying on the pillow like that for the whole 20+ minutes of the video. It looked so cute!

Crawling and Swimming (Almost)

This past week she's been doing this new thing where she pushes up her body into a push-up position and holds her body up on her hands and toes and sticks her butt up in the air. She goes up and down from crawling position up to this and back. It's hilarious! We are betting she'll be crawling by the end of the week!!

AND she got to go swimming in her Grandma and Grandpa Brack's pool for the first time!!! She got this cute little floatie that holds little toys in front of her and she leaned forward in it and was kicking her feet under the water so much that she was moving herself around the pool a little bit! She's a little fish!


I was holding the camera here so that's why Chris's head is cut off, but I still thought it was cute :)

In position

Well, we are getting closer to crawling! She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth but still no movement yet! That's okay though, we chase her enough with all the rolling EVERYWHERE!

And here's a funny picture from the other day. I went in to get her after a nap and she had gathered all her pacifiers in front of her. She will sit there and put one in for a second, pop it out, try another, and keep going through them all. It's pacifier heaven!
