A night of fun

I had a rough night at work on Saturday night so last night I felt like I had earned a trip to Old Chicago for some AWESOME pizza! Mckayla was being her usual adorable self; coloring, saying hi to everyone sitting around us, and playing with all the stuff on the table (sugar packets were a favorite!)
Then she stopped to smell all the flowers in the flower bed in front of the restaraunt:
Then we went to Target to pick up some groceries and she found some stuff from the dollar bins to play with:
Then it was home for bathtime! I love that cute booty!!! She likes to lay like this and try to drink the water (TRY that is, I don't let her but she ALWAYS tries!)
And before you think I'm a horrible parent, she got this mesh bag that had some of her toys in it, put it on her head and just sat like this watching the Incredibles on tv, but don't worry it was MESH and we took it right off, we don't let her walk around putting bags over her head!!! It did look so funny though because she was sitting just like this for a few minutes!

Here's a couple videos I've been meaning to post. The first one is of her rocking in her rocking chair. You have to listen close to be able to hear her say "rocking, rocking"

And this one is from Father's Day at my parents house to show you how much she loves her cousin Abbey!!!

New Beginnings

Well for those of you who don't know, my parents had to move out of the house I pretty much grew up in and move into a house that my dad built and has been trying to sell for what seems like FOREVER (dang economy). The new house is soooo beautiful and I'm sure there will be so many new memories to make there, but I can't help but feel this tug of sadness to see the home I have MILLIONS of memories in go. I'm really trying to be positive about it but I have let more than a couple tears escape. But as my husband constantly reminds me, it IS just a house so I'm going to be a big girl about it!!! Here's the new house:

Mckayla really likes the shower in the hall bathroom :)

This is the house I will always call home though; the house that has 15 years of memories. There has just been too many good ones to pick out a favorite, whether it be all the baby showers, graduations, proms, family dinners, or holiday celebrations. I'm really going to miss it!

This is a scene I think of A LOT-my parents making some awesome home cooked meals!!!
And this is by the garage where I carved my initials into the concrete when the house was being built:
This was Father's Day and our last family meal at the house :*(
Abbey enjoying the icing off a cookie for desert:
Our last family picture at the house:
To new beginnings........

New toy

I'm really excited about my new toy I got the other day...
it's a little bitty camcorder! It's a little longer than the palm of my hand so it's so easy to just toss in my purse or pocket and go! I love it because it has internal memory, so I don't have to purchase a separate memory card, it takes about 2 seconds to turn on and start recording, and it has a built in USB plug in on the side (you can see on the side where you slide the button down and the USB thing pops out from there). So I just plug it in and it automatically dowloads the software and the videos to the computer and I can edit and email from the same program! I love it!!! And even better it was 60% off because its the first generation model!!!! Gotta love a good deal! Here's a video I got of Mckayla with it today when we went to my parents house and she was running to see Bubbles:

FOOD!!!

Here's how she eats her grilled cheese sandwiches now:
She puts the piece of bread flat to her face and bites out the center of the bread where all the cheese is. And she LOOOVES apple slices now too, she will eat almost the entire apple by herself....minus the "bones" as I call the peels :)

First ponytail

Her hair all actually fits into a ponytail! It was really cute, but from the front I definetely like pig-tails or just half pulled back better :)

Crazy hair

This was on the way to Duncan last week....I had the front of her hair pulled back and a bow in but eventually she decided to rip it out and this was the result!

Duncan

We went to Duncan on Tuesday and Wednesday and Mckayla had SOOOO much fun swimming and playing with all the animals! She constantly was saying "side, side" which means "outside" and she'd point out the door waiting for someone to take her out so she could run around everywhere. Luckily her Grandma and Grandpa were more than willing to follow her around! Here's a BUNCH of cute pics of her swimming with daddy in the pool:
Giving Grandma a five as she passed!
They got this AMAZING new hot tub with a ton of jets in it that gave you like a full body massage. This was my favorite spot to be :)
Mckayla LOVED the dogs too, she would go up to them and say "Hi dog!" and then she would lay her head on Samson and give him a hug, it was so cute! Notice the cute little booty peeking out? Hehe! Her diaper weighed about 100 pounds because it was FULL of water after swimming.
here's she's saying "Hi dog!"
Smelling the weeds :)
Their neighbors had a cute baby horse too! They were so friendly they'd come right up to the fence for us to pet them.
