Silly girl

Here's some of Mckayla's recent silliness: First off, I couldn't find my phone for a long time last night, and knowing that I let Mckayla play with it I knew it could be anywhere. So I had Chris call it and we followed the ring to her room, dug around some stuff and it turns out she had put it in her kitchen cabinet and shut the door! We were cracking up! Here's how we found it:

Then she spent a lot of time playing on the entry rug, just pulling it up and over her legs, etc. She was jabbering along the whole time too!

At one point she was eating her little dried strawberry and banana snacks and anytime her bowl got empty she would run up to me or Chris and say "More!" but this time was hilarious because they were stuck all over her face, shirt, pants, and all over the floor! Those little buggers stick EVERYWHERE when she moistens them up first! Needless to say there was quite a bit of clean-up after those puppies.

Christmas #4

On Saturday we went to my Aunt Pam and Uncle John's house for another Christmas party. Unfortunately we arrived an hour and a half late because some little girl decided to take the longest nap EVER and then we had to leave early because I had to work! BOOOO! It was still lots of fun and we played dirty Santa, which is always entertaining!

Here's Mckayla with my Aunt Pam. Obviously Mckayla wasn't too into posing at the moment...

She could see their horses out the window

But of course she was more interested in getting into their magazines

...and their remote controls OF COURSE! I love here though how she's stacking them on top of the remote control holder!

Mimi and Papa gave her lots of yummy food!
I wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks so much for the great food and gifts!

Christmas #3

Christmas Day!!! We woke up to find that Santa had left Mckayla some really fun toys! A stuffed dino toy (Daddy was excited over that one), a baby doll dressed as a bunny, a book, and some elmo books and a little Elmo see-and-say thing in her stocking.

She was most excited over the Elmo items....of course!

Mommy and Daddy got her a pink and purple shopping cart and some play food!

She still made time for some Daddy snuggles!

Then later in the morning Mimi and Papa came over for some more Christmas presents and fun! They got her this SUPER cute pink sweater and little light up duck toy:

This was our absolute favorite though; a little play kitchen!!! It's so cute and it's really pretty little so it's just Mckayla's size! She obviously too young to do any "cooking" but she looooves to open and close drawers and cabinets and put things in and out of them!
Thank you so so much for all the fun stuff, we love you so much!

Christmas #2

For our second Christmas we spent a couple days in Duncan with Chris's parents and his brother Chad. We opened presents Christmas eve morning because we came home that afternoon. Mckayla got some really fun presents!

Here she was playing with the super jumbo tv remote we got Chris's dad for Christmas. She carried this thing all over the house!

Uncle Chad got her her first little guitar and was showing her some moves:

She got a lot of other fun things but the most exciting thing was a giant dinosaur! This thing is so neat, it has sensors all over it so it will move its head, tail, horns, open it's mouth and eyes, and make all kinds of noises too. It's completely interactive and you can ride it and feed it those leaves too!!! Mckayla wasn't scared of it until she was put on it. She's still a little young to really understand and enjoy it, but that will be lots of fun in the years to come!

As you can see even the big kids enjoy it too!!!

Making silly faces

We had a lot of fun and can't thank you enough for all the wonderful gifts! We love you!

Christmas #1

Today we went with my mom and dad to Collinsville to have Christmas with Brian, Lacey, and Abbey. It was SO much fun to have a little get together like this so the girls could open presents and play all afternoon. We were trying to get a good pic of the girls together but this is about as good as it gets to get them both next to eachother, just forget about getting them both to look at you and smile! What little cuties!

Before lunch was ready, we let the girls start opening their presents. Of course Abbey went nuts over the little frogs and turtles she got!

She also got a set of musical instruments and had fun learning how to use the harmonica!

Mckayla loved this penguin guy that was sitting by their front door and would light up and change colors. She kept leaving the presents to go look at him!

Then she climbed around in this tiny little rocking chair by their Christmas tree

The girls did spend a little time together playing with presents

Lacey made Papa his own stocking!
And Mimi got an apron labeled "Cookie Maker" and a little one for the "Cookie Taster" to help her with her baking!

We got Abbey this play Birthday cake that the pieces are velcro so you can have the whole cake with the candle in the middle or tear them apart to serve the pieces. She LOOOVED it!
She decided to throw a little birthday party for her froggies
She even sang to them!!!!
She gave this frog and turtle their own pieces of cake!

Then she got out her little bowls and set up a party for baby bear! She put a piece of cake in a bowl at all 4 spots at the table. She's just too stinkin cute!

The birthday bear! She also got a bottle and even put a little water in it for him!
This was the best gift by far though...Brian and Lacey got Chris this calendar called Farming Life. Lacey has bought him calendars in the past and I forgot to mention that he doesn't need them anymore so when he opened it we were so scared because not only was it another calendar, it was pretty much the most STUPID calendar I've ever seen! We were both so in shock by the horribleness of the calendar that we just sat there speechless, praying that would say it was a joke. After a minute of leaving us hanging they laughed and said the real gift is inside so he opened it up and there was a Best Buy gift card. We were sooooo relieved! It was freakin hilarious though!

Daddy and Mckayla

Thank you everyone for the gifts and a WONDERFUL day together!

Happy Birthday Chris!!!

Yesterday was daddy's birthday!!! He opened presents from us in the morning and Chris's parents came up and took us to dinner last night. He's feeling a little shock though because this is his last year in the 20's, he's hitting the big 3-0 next year!!!

Mckayla enjoyed helping out with the presents!!!

"I think I'll take this one Daddy!"
WE HOPE YOU HAD A FUN BIRTHDAY AND WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!

WALKING!!!

We officially have a walker now! She doesn't do it all the time, but she does it a lot now and doesn't require us to prompt her to do it. It's so crazy to see my little baby girl WALKING around like a big person! Oh and she finally has her first tooth too, it's just peeking out of her front bottom gums! Yay Mckayla!

Thanksgiving #2

Here's some more pictures Lacey took from our second Thanksgiving at my Grandparents house on Friday after Thanksgiving. I love this first picture because Abbey is at my parents house and I was talking to her on the phone from my house and I put her on speaker phone and told her to say hi to Mckayla and when she heard Mckayla she said "Oh I hear Kayla!" and proceeded to have a cute little talk with her!

This is at my Grandparents and Abbey was helping give Mckayla more bananas

Santa

We took Mckayla to meet Santa about a week ago or so and She did good for about 2 seconds when one of the girls working there distracted her with a toy but then she started the saddest crying and reaching for me and Chris. This was the only non-crying picture they got and I'm shocked we even got it! Maybe next year won't be so scary!
