More cuteness

Here's a few pics from the past few days I've been meaning to post. This first is her in her cute Adidas outfit:

In awe of how big her Baby Einstein can be!!!
Watching some video clips on the computer with daddy
Crossing their legs; like daddy like daughter
Just being cute!

7 month photo shoot

Lacey has outdone herself yet again! We were on vacation last week and finally took Mckayla up to visit Brian, Lacey, and Abbey and to get another photo shoot done of her. I posted a bunch of the best ones here but trust me there are more that are just as good but I couldn't post them all!

This one below is my absolute FAVORITE!!!

Thank you so so so much Lacey, you are AMAZING and we love you so much!

Monthly growth

It's that time again! She's getting so big and it's amazing to look back at each picture and see how much she's changed. It's also getting harder and harder to take these pics because she doesn't stay still, she rolls, kicks, looks around, and refuses to smile while looking at the camera! Wears me out! (You can click on each picture to make it bigger if you want)

And the name is....

Okay we just came up with a name for our weird little pet....SLIMER! You know, from Ghostbusters! I like it!

Our new pet

This is our new pet salamander!! He was an impulse buy at the mall. We thought he was too cool looking to resist and the guy said they are really easy to take care of, only feed him a couple times a week, replace part of the water every couple weeks, and we can even treat him to a few crickets or worms if we find any. Yummy! We already had the tank and the decorations so it was a really easy set up! I think we've figured out that he is a tiger salamander and that he is still in the larval stage so we think when he becomes an adult he will lose the external gills around his neck and then will need more of a land environment. He obviously lives in water now but he does breathe air too; he'll come up every once in awhile and open up his mouth and take a big gulp of air. He gets excited when we come to feed him and they are as harmless as a goldfish so no worries there, he's as friendly as can be! Now we just need to think of a cool name for him....any ideas?!`

Trip to the Zoo

Chris and I are on vacation this week and we started it off with a trip to the zoo! Mckayla was really good most of the time until she got so tired but refused to go to sleep because there was just too much to see!

"Yeah, I like to just sit back, kick up my feet, and enjoy the ride!"

Here's some of our favorite animals we saw

Nemo!

I loved the elephants!

The zoo workers had him doing tricks for the crowd!

This guy just stared at me directly at the window in front of me!

Just chillin

We LOVED these guys; called Okapi. They look like part zebras but are actually in the giraffe family

It was neat seeing the sea lions up so close:

By the end she was just all tuckered out!

Just having fun

We have this quilt on the floor for Mckayla to play on (and as a slobber catcher) but yesterday I looked down at her and she had hung on to the side of it and rolled all over, wrapping herself up like a burrito! She thought it was pretty funny!

Then we started to play peek-a-boo so this is her hiding:

Where's Mckayla?!!

"Here I am!"
Here she's talking to me, you can see more of her version of talking with her tongue like this in the video below!!!

Her silly way of talking by sticking her tongue to the top of her mouth

Lunch with Mimi & Papa

Today we met Mimi and Papa at Old Chicago for a sort of belated Mother's Day celebration together. Mckayla sat by Mimi in her high chair and was our entertainment during the meal :)

Mimi attempted to give her water from her straw but Mckayla decided it would be more fun to spit it out by repeatedly doing raspberries every time the straw got near her mouth!!

Gotta have the shades on outside!!

This was later on in the evening when daddy gave Mckayla some flying lessons. She was making really cute and silly noises; hence the funny little look on her face :)

Just being cute!
