Animals

Mckayla was being so cute tonight wiping all her animal magnets off the fridge them putting them back one at a time, naming each one as she went! She did it over and over and I kept videoing all of it so I picked a couple of the cutest ones! I don't think I got her saying horse and turtle in these so just FYI she calls a horse "neigh" and I'll try to get her saying turtle sometime because it's sooo cute how she enunciates the syllables so clearly...tur-tle :) I love it!

In the next one she noticed I was videoing her....

Here's the "key" to her animal names if you need a little help:

Fish=sheesh

Panda=pamba

Kitty cat=keecat or meow

Goat=go

Giraffe=grass (sort of)

Zebra=seera

Monkey=mongey

Elephant=elfan

Frog=froggie

cow=moo

Summer time!

I'm a little late posting about this, but oh well. Last Thursday we went my grandparents house for dinner with the family (and had some AWESOME gumbo that my uncle John made!) and Mckayla got to play with her second cousin Summer! They seemed to have a lot of fun together, except when it came to sharing toys! Here they were smelling the flowers:
Going in for a hug!
Mckayla doesn't seem so sure.... hehe!
Awww so cute!
Summer checking out the little bird bath
And Mckayla checking out the flowers
There's a turtle farm (if that's what you call it) behind my grandparents house and the girls were loving watching them through the fence
Summer and big sis Carlie...who is taller than me now!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!
sitting pretty :)
Summer is quite a bit braver than Mckayla!
I tried to get a cute pic of them by the flowers but Mckayla wasn't in a smiling mood
Ian somehow sitting on the little bitty bike
We had a lot of fun seeing everyone and eating some great food!!!!

The Big 25

Well I am officially halfway to 30, or halfway to 50, however you want to look at it. Today has been a great day though, it started with daddy letting me sleep in and then we met my parents at Old Chicago for lunch so I could eat my favoritest pizza ever!!! I have to work tonight so that's not the most fun thing in the world, but such is life! I really want to thank Chris, my parents, and Tom and Debbie for the wonderful birthday gifts and all the love and support you have always given me. That means more than anything I could ever dream to have. All the birthday wishes I have also received have made the day even brighter...so thank you everyone!!!
By far though, this sweet girl is the greatest gift in my life and she means more to me than words can describe. I have such a blessed life!!
XOXOXOXOXO

Ears to toe

She still loves her Easter bunny ears and she thought it was so much fun when Chris let her wear them in her high chair for lunch one day!
ESCAPED TOE!! That's a pretty good sign it's time for new jammies! Thanks to Mimi at our shopping trip Saturday now she's got some super cute new jammies, just in time before the other toes escape!

Thunderstorm

A scary storm just went through here with some crazy hail that I thought was going to bust through our windows. Mckayla is LOVING the rain though and has been staring out the window the whole time! Even the really loud thunder and lightning didn't scare her! I think the hail did a little but mostly because I was getting a bit scared!
Daddy even put her chair by the door to make it a more comfortable viewing experience for her!

Happy 4th of July!

Today was such a fun day!!! We got Mckayla all decked out in her USA gear before heading out to go meet up with Matt, Wendi, and Emily!
We met them at Red Robin and the girls had fun playing with their balloons. We kinda had to rush out after we finished because a big storm was rolling in.
So then we went to Matt and Wendi's house to let the storms pass and wait for dark to go watch the fireworks. The girls were so cute together and they had a BLAST running around and giggling with eachother!
Matt watched tv in Emily's chair for some reason.... hehe
Emily's cute 4th of July headband
What cute girls!
...and a silly daddy
When it was dark we drove over to the Hafer Park ball field parking lot to watch the fireworks show they put on from UCO. Mckayla wasn't scared at all and seemed to enjoy them! Her attention span was short though and we ended up chasing her around the parking lot most of the time.
It was a great night!!!!

Does anyone else have problems with the pictures on my blog loading when you open the page? I'm trying to see if it's something I'm doing or just something crazy with Lacey's computer! Please leave me a comment and let me know! Thanks!

Kid-in-a-cabinet

Mckayla actually got all the way in the tv stand...she thought it was hilarious!
She is obsessed with trying to get in boxes or tubs and I tried to tell her this one is too small, but she squeezed in anyway!
...and now, how to get out....Yeah I'm about to pull out all the clothes in this drawer...
So cute :)
She had NO idea that was on her head, she just started saying "cheeeeese!" for the camera!
Our silly girl
She's a hoot!!!

Asher and Shaelynn

I'm breaking Wordless Wednesday to show off these two cuties!!! We went to my aunt and uncles house to visit my cousin Andy and his wife Tanya and their two kids, Asher and Shaelynn. Shae is 5 months old and she is the tiniest, sweetest, most beautiful baby girl!!! The polar opposite of Miss Madison's sweet fluffiness!!!
Asher is SO friendly and not shy AT ALL, he came up and gave me a hug right when we got there and said hi to him! He was so sweet to Mckayla too and shared his toys and snacks with her. He is such a cutie!
They even gave eachother a hug! So sweet!
Hopefully we'll see them again before they have to go back to Colorado!!!
