Princess Room

This week has been a busy week at our house!!! We converted our theater room into Mckayla's new princess room, made her old room a play room (getting ALL the toys out of the living room!!!), moved some of the theater stuff to the living room, and got new living room furniture! My dad is to thank for making the princess room happen because he painted and fixed our ceilings that had been damaged by water spots and painted the princess room pink. We would be LOST without my dad!!! We love you!!!

A while back I bought this Pottery Barn bedding I saw that was clearanced for when Mckayla is someday in a twin bed, it was just way too adorable to resist. So this has been the inspiration for a princess room!
This is the sham and duvet cover print, and the sheets are all pink with the fairies that are on the print above all over the sheets outlined in white. Anyway, here are some pics of her room so far but don't judge too much because it has a long way to go still! I recovered her letters with a new paper and now I just can't decide on a ribbon color to hang the letters from...any ideas would be appreciated! Sheers got lost on the wall and I think pink might be too much pink on the walls? I don't know. Plus there is SOOOO much more wall space in this room it's going to be awhile before we get enough on them to feel complete so we just kinda threw up what we had!
Here's a close up of the print on the letters...this picture is way washed out though, I promise that is brown with pink dots!
We are thinking about getting a big cute rug too for the middle of the room because there is so much empty floor space. Someday anyway! She obviously needs a curtain rod and valance....
This picture Chris's mom got Mckayla for her birthday. It is a Thomas Kinkade print of Snow White finding the dwarfs cottage. It is GORGEOUS! We hung it first thing!
I'm thinking about getting this wall sticker thing for above the dresser. I may put it on a board or something or I may put it directly on the wall...it can be made in any color and the pink in the background is the "wall" you get just the words and image.

The entry to her room and by the closet door...
So what do you think? ANY suggestions would be appreciated!!! It's a work in progress!!!

Her room is awesome! It is sooooo beautiful. It is the perfect princess room for the prettiest princess I know! Great job!

Wow! You have been busy! It looks great! I do have some suggestions. I would like to see the bed moved directly under her name so that it is centered. Then, I would move the chair forward, into the room. You could put some pillows on the chair or a pink or green throw over the back of the chair, to give it some dimension. I think sheers would be nice. The curtains are too dark and heavy looking for a princess. Or, like you said, a valance and then maybe a drop down shade for nap time. I think white or off-white ribbon for the letters. I need to come and see it in person! I also love the words to go above the dresser. I think you should make it look just like that!
